Happy 2 month birthday, Squirt! I'm an idiot and kept thinking 3 months...oops. He's still sleeping most of the day away, but I can tell he's awake even more lately. I'm excited to see how he schedules himself out in the coming months. A whole other baby to see milestones: holding his head, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, standing, walking. So much in so few months. Moose gets flirtier every day. Today it was a little girl (probably about 4) at the library. In the above picture, it was this 18-month-old little sweetie at our friends' wedding Friday. Yes, he's kissing her arm. My aunts came to visit on Monday. *Note* I'd like to show you a picture of this, but my memory card is not working well with my computer lately. I need a new computer. But I added a picture of the earliest picture of Moose sucking his thumb.** Yesterday, Big A was home due to crappy weather. He decided that it was about time that Moose stopped sucking his thumb. He gets out the athletic tape and wraps Moose's right thumb (the only one he sucks on). At first the poor kid was just trying to get the tape off. Of course, he got it off about twice yesterday, so we re-wrapped it. He'd put it in his mouth and right away take it out with a look of disgust! He's tried biting it off, but I think mostly he's given up. As soon as that thumb is clear of tape, it's in his mouth, though. He did take a nap yesterday AND fall asleep without it last night. I know you are asking yourself this: "Does she ever feed Moose anything BUT spaghetti?" My answer is this: NO.. .just kidding, but we do all eat spaghetti a lot (hey, it's easy & yummy). AND it makes the BEST photo op ! He's so cute with his face soaked in spaghetti sauce... slurping up noodles... trying to fend off the paparazzi...or rather, mamarazzi... shoveling it in his pie hole...spaghetti hole?... squinting at the camera...*squint* and...well...more shoveling. I thought I'd post pictures from the Strongman competition since I talked about it/bragged about my husband. Here's the Strongman walking with the Strongbaby to sign in. Here they are warming up...I mean, playing in the dirt. Yeah, Moose was a mess after. He just found dirt recently...it's a lot of fun. This press event isn't super heavy, but look how long that PVC pipe is! The key to Big A winning this one is his monstrous paws! The tire flip - sounds easier than it looks. It never fails each year, the 2nd to last flip leaves your tire like 1/3 of the way from the finish line. And check out my hubby's giant feet! Radio Interview. I got a job! Yeah! I do have to take Moose to daycare....BUT I'm going to be there, too! That's right, I got a daycare position. At least a part-time one. Mornings on MWF, afternoons TTh. That works so well for me because MOPS and WIC are in the mornings of TTh so I don't have to reschedule or skip out. I know some of you are thinking, "well good going worrying so much about getting a job." I know. I know, Mrs. Spiderlegs ;) Anyway, I just wanted to share my good news! My God news. No, I didn't get an award; I'm rewarding today! This is Moose's best friend. Yes. It's a stuffed animal. At least I'm pretty sure it's his best friend; he spends all of his time with him. They wrestle and snuggle. Puppy sings and talks while Moose squeals with delight. I have learned each and every song attributed to this puppy - by heart. Sometimes I just randomly find myself singing one of his songs. No one saw this yesterday so I'm counting it as Friday's post! Today Moose & I were in Dillard's with the Spiderlegs. They were looking at watches, so I let Moose down to walk. He eventually found the ladies, toddling over to the sales ladies chatting. One of them goes, "Oh hey there Charlie Brown!" I must have looked questioning at her because she goes to the other lady, "Doesn't he look like Charlie Brown?" I thought about it and, she's right! He does with his clear hair (basically, it's transparent)! Very funny I've never noticed that. Then a little girl walked by with her mommy and Moose stepped out of their way to let them through. Another sales lady commented on how nice he was, already a gentleman. Aww...my little gentlemen (takes after his daddy...who still opens my car door after 4 years). EDIT: Someone super smart (possibly my best friend) gave me a very smart idea (one that I somehow overlooked): dress Moose up as Charlie B...

Alright, I decided to play with Candid Carrie today! Welcome to Friday's Foto Finish Fiesta at the S Club. My first picture is my boys being silly playing outside. I was sitting just where I am now, and I hear a knock on the window. I turned to find these...lovely...faces smushed against my window. Big A does NOT like Moose to make a mess when he eats, but I have convinced him that he needs to. He's a boy! He's a baby! So here's Moose's first attempt at eating spaghetti by himself. Yum yum! I knew my husband was my Superman. I had little idea that my son was my Superbaby!

I read something in Parenting magazine that was a tip from another mom. She said, if you have a crab, put it in water. Well, Moose turned into Crab for awhile, so I got a bowl, filled it with less than 1/2 an inch of water and let him play. He had a blast! And he didn't knock over the bowl or anything (unlike what Daddy said he would do). Then we had to take it away. Back to crab. Crab went to bed. Night night.
