A. Attached or Single? Attached. We've been together since 2004, married since 2006.
B. Best Friend? My pals Kim and Rachel. I've known them the longest and we live the closest and remain the closest.
C. Cake or pie? Right now, neither. Trying to lay off the sugar for awhile.
D. Day of choice? Sundays - church, fellowship, and naps.
E. Essential Item? Right now, my boot cast. Praying it's helping my foot heal.
F. Favorite color? Yellow. It's such a happy color. I even just bought these Crocs in yellow.

G. Gummy bears or worms? worms. I like to segment them.
H. Home town? small town, NE
I. Favorite Indulgence? superhero movies that I won't let my kids watch until they reach the appropriate age for PG-13 movies.
J. January or July? July - so many birthdays. Moose on the 1st, Squirt on the 10th, Big A on the 24th, my BIL Nate on the 4th, my FIL on the 1st, my grandfather-in-law on the 6th.
K. Kids? I like them, yes. I have two of my own.
L. Life isn’t complete without? A relationship with the Lord.
M. Marriage date? August 5, 2006
N. Number of brothers/sisters? 1 younger sister and 1 older sister
O. Oranges or Apples? I think I like oranges more for taste but apples more for convenience.
P. Phobias? I don't really like snakes and spiders.
Q. Quotes? If you want to change your body, exercise. If you want to change your life, become a runner.
R. Reasons to smile? Today: breakfast outside, nice breezes, not-fighting children, the ability to be home with said children.
S. Season of choice? Fall, I love the colors in the trees.

U. Unknown fact about me? If our children cry in the middle of the night, I don't hear them. Honestly.

X. Xray or Ultrasound? I like ultrasounds when I'm pregnant. I LOVE seeing their little peanut-ness in there moving around.

MOB Society: Bragging on Boys

Like my friend Erin shared in her "bragging" post, I don't necessarily want to "brag" about my boys but I am overjoyed at some of their accomplishments recently! So I will share with you! Moose is doing wonderfully at school. We moved him to the afternoon classroom and his teacher said that his behavior problems that they saw in the morning have virtually disappeared. Great! Twice last week (once at school and once at Sunday School) his teachers told me that he shared with someone. What a sigh of relief that one is; sharing is so hard but to know that what I'm implementing at home is working (even the itsy bitsiest bit!) is a relief.  I've noticed that baby toys are most enjoyed by the older crowd. Moose is also reading! I got the sight word list that kindergarteners start off with from his teacher - he read them all for me this morning. I bought a Chuggington book for him on their last book order - he read it by himself after only having it read

Greater (movie review)

Sports movies are some of my favorite ones; even better if they are underdog stories! "Greater" is just that - a true underdog story about Brandon Bulsworth who could be called the greatest walk-on in the history of college football. The movie follows Bulsworth from the time he's a kid. His mother is raising he and his brother (who is quite a bit older; old enough to be mistaken for his dad, laughably). His brother gives him a kick in the pants when Brandon claims he wants to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Brandon was a heavy kid so no one really thought it would happen. However, Brandon worked as hard as he could and made it. Walked on the team and caught the attention of his coach who put some amazing work into this kid to help him become better. I love when coaches look at the heart of a player more than ability. This really is an amazing story, an amazing movie - full of inspiration and encouragement. We Choose Virtues (review & giveaway!)

I almost think I needed this Kids Kit from We Choose Virtues almost as much as my sons. I mean, check out this list: patience, kindness, obedience, diligence, forgiving, attentive, etc. I have such problems with patience and attentive (anyone else get distracted by stuff online?)! So I know that it's important to teach these virtues to my children, too (and learn alongside them). Jesus was patient, forgiving, obedient, diligent, forgiving, attentive, self-controlled, content, etc. We are supposed to imitate Jesus and so I thought this was a good way to help me teach them how to do that. image from the WCV website Like I said, I reviewed the Kids Kit.
