finally, some results!

Last night I had a total meltdown about losing weight, exercising, and being on SlimFast (yes, I'm trying it). I went downstairs to weigh myself...my total weight loss so far: 12 pounds! In the past week: 7 pounds. I don't know how, honestly, but I'm just so happy! I'm not sure if I fit into any more old jeans, I'm going to try to give it another week. So far so good, looks like I'm a SlimFast fan!

Big A is forever telling me to not say certain things on the road. Don't call me dear. Don't gasp or shout; I'll think there's a deer. Although these are paraphrased (and he claims he's never said the first one), these are the basis for this tale. We went to the Husker game last night. Scratch that - we worked at the Husker game last night. We helped his aunt (and her church) sell backrests as a fundraiser. Big A has done this most of last year & all of this year so far. He loves it. You sell backrests until kickoff, then you watch the game, and pick up the rests after. You're there 90 minutes before game time and for about an hour or so after the game. And you sometimes get leftover food (Runzas and hotdogs and popcorn - please fine out what a Runza is for those of you who aren't from Nebraska....it's so yummy!). East Coast move

Thank you all for visiting yesterday to wish me a Merry SITSmas. I promise to get back to each one of you soon. But let me just inform you a little on our move. Last Friday, I got a phone call just a little bit after Big A left to go to the Husker game. Our Dream Job offered us the job! I was kind of shocked; I hadn't heard from them in about a month and after they said they weren't filling the position, I wasn't expecting to hear from them until at least the beginning of next year. Anyway, so they want us to move out there between January 7-9 and start training the 12th. We took a few days to do our pro/con list like we do with every big decision, and really the pros just really outweigh the cons. We're really excited for this change. It'll be tough, no doubt, but I think we will be good at the job and can actually be something good for these kids. So if I'm busy this month, I apologize.
