summer lovin' - had me a blast!

Image
Summer is winding down (although we still have a whole month including a vacation!), so I thought I should share some of our highlights into June. Big A finally shaved in May (he'd been growing this beast - I mean, beard - since October). He did not shave it for me, although I'd told him I was growing tired of it. I never minded it, I just missed his face. Isn't it a lovely face? We grew Duck Dynasty fever in a trip to Wal-mart with my parents. I think I should grow a beard. Yes? No? This kid makes a cute Scooby-Doo and if I can bribe his big brother, these will be our family costumes this Halloween. However, Moose insists he's going to be Spiderman again (not sure if Spiderman will fit though...). Moose lost 4 teeth. The bottom two and the top two. Some of the words he says are just precious without teeth. And he can now whistle. Squirt passed level 1 and 2 in swimming lessons. He did great! Moose learned to swim across th...

the kids are already asking to go back to the zoo and aquarium. And they say aquarium so darling! Yuck yuck yuck. Not a fan of snakes but I definitely like their glass boxes! Squirt was just laughing at this squirrel who was all over the place. Kindred spirits those two. (mostly) annual ape hand pictures Moose is recently experiencing legs that fall asleep during shoulder rides. Hilarious. He acts like he can't walk for awhile. :) I love the butterfly pavillion! The penguins were the boys' favorite parts. I think we could have only visited this and they would be just fine. mostly annual penguin pictures Can you find Nemo? until next time zoo! Keep it wild!

final zoo pictures: penguins!

The penguins have always been our largest stop at the zoo. I adore the penguins - standing around, watching for something. They always look like they're having fun swimming. Then I also think of Happy Feet and am kind of sad that they are so clueless as to where they are (and possibly disoriented). I love how close you can get to them! I found old pictures of Moose at the zoo by these very penguins! Mother's Day 2008 - very first trip to the zoo - not even as tall as a Gentoo May 2010 - almost as tall as that Emperor what tall little boys I have! Do you like the zoo? What's your favorite exhibit? Mine is the pandas - the one thing Omaha doesn't have!
