Moose's first snow angel :D can you see the angel? Squirt wasn't so thrilled with the snow but he kept venturing out to check it out and then whining when he got snow on him eating snow Do you play in the snow with your kids? I had such fun this day; I can't wait for more snow!

Last night we got our first snow fall of the season. It had rained for a few days prior (I was thinking about praying to Noah to see if I could borrow his ark) then the flakes started as I was coming home from the gym last night. This morning it was a slick winter wonderland as I headed to Bible study. I think snow is amazing when you see it from your kids' perspectives. Moose knows snow - loves it! All he wants to do is walk in it, run in it. After school today, I taught him to make snow angels. That brought him much joy. Moose also enjoyed our snow ball "fight" - I threw some snow at him (which he loved!) and he picked up some and chucked it at me. Even got me a few times. This is my polar bear. Squirt is another story. It's cold and wet. He dislikes it much. He's interested enough to touch it, maybe walk in it. But he always ends up whining and wanting to be picked up. I'm a little behind on this but Monday we had a snow day! Big A came home early to play and we decided to bundle up to get the mail. Baby's 1st time IN the snow - despite that face, he liked it Big bro is a pro with the snow! my new awesome snow boots! Nothing like walking down Small Town USA's roads in the middle of the day! Daddy Day AND a Snow Day in ONE! it was very bright so forgive this picture MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO MONKEY PLAY IN SNOW TOO! Baby got sick of the snow But not Moose! He sat in it and I showed him snow angels. Even in winter an isolated patch of snow has a special quality. Andy Goldsworthy

at least here in Nebraska. It's cold! And white. Our first significant snowfall of the season. We are in a winter weather advisory. Another 1"-3" of snow tonight for a possible 2"-5" accumulation. Tomorrow sunny with another 1"-3" of snow after midnight. And on Tuesday 3"-6" with possibly more after dark. Highs for the next few days: 22, 26, 14, 19. Ouch (and that's not including the wind chill factor). Poor Big A, I hope he gets a snow day sometime this week! Winter is here, ladies and gentlemen, ready or not. I did take Moose out to play in the snow. His pants were too big (I know, weird) so whenever he bent over to get in the snow, his bum showed. So it's probably going to be chapped along with his face tomorrow. But he had fun. Stay warm and if you're in warm weather...lucky you!
