What is Memorial Day?

As far back as I remember, my family has celebrated Memorial Day by visiting graveyards. Placing flowers on loved ones that have passed on was what we did. Maybe your family does that, too. However, many also take this day to remember those veterans who have given their lives in the line of duty. Many may go to memorials or services specifically for this reason. I wanted to share a few websites I found with the history of Memorial Day. Wikipedia Memorial Day History History .com However you celebrate, take some time out of your day to learn the history behind this holiday (it is more than just another day for banks to be closed).
