WIWW: Halftee (review)

Image
Modesty seems to be making a comeback...at least in some circles. I'm thankful for this but until designers realize that's what we women want, it will continue to be difficult to find modest attire. I specifically have a hard time finding modest shorts and modest tops. Well, halftee.com helps me with one of those areas!  Before I was pregnant with Moose, I had this little half tank top with lace that I constantly wore under everything. My pregnancy left it stretched out and I have been resigned to wear camisoles under shirts to help out my modesty. However, that gets hot sometimes! So I was pleased to find Halftees .  They are basically a crop top that ends just below your chest. They don't roll up. They come up to a modest place on your body to help cover up the girls. :)  I hadn't worn this top at all this summer because it'd be so hot to wear something underneath it. Yay for Halftee giving me my shirt back!! I decided a navy one would benefit me be...

WIWW: Treasure Darling review

Image
I did not do a good job of photographing my outfits this past week; in fact, I only caught one outfit on film (does that still apply when it's digital?). However, it was my favorite outfit of the week - perhaps because of the little budded beauty pinned on! I received this off-white satin fabric flower brooch from treasure darling Etsy shop. This flower caught my eye when I was browsing Etsy and just said "simply elegant." Connie was so great to work with - this little off-white beaut is a wonderful addition to any woman's wardrobe. The best thing about it? Connie uses NO patterns - all flowers are handmade and are just a bit different from one another. No one else will have your exact flower brooch - making your outfit totally unique.  I wanted to show you the back - the little details. You can see that the pin is stitched securely on the backing - an extra piece of material right under it to ensure its quality. And really, my boys have been enamored with th...

WIWW (10/25 - 11/3)

I found a use for the boots (thank you for all the suggestions last week!). I put on some tights under a sweater dress a friend gave me. I paired that over a pink tank top. I also belted the dress. My necklace is from Kristen's Creations while my hair clip is from Mabbett Rose Designs .   My Halloween church outfit. LBD from my mom, scarf from Boubo Boutique .  I don't remember where my shoes are from but the tights are from Target.  I do have a necklace on but I can't even tell which it is. My bracelet is one of those popular ones with the charm links. My friend Laura made one for all of her bridesmaids for her wedding - probably my favorite accessory! Moose's Superman shirt is from a friend (it has matching shorts). His jeans are hand-me-downs. In case you missed my Halloween picture post, I wanted to share how cute my hubby & I looked. He was GI Joe so his uniform was supplied by my uncle.  My cape is from Kids' Creations . My WW symbol was made by me ...

What I Wore Wednesday

Image
Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy hosts this wonderful little blog prompt What I Wore Wednesday where other bloggers can show off their style. I got started reading this through my friend Erin , but am interested in looking at more pictures so I can raise my style knowledge. I have never been a stylish person, but would very much like to learn (it's never too late, right?). So here goes my pictures from the past week (or so?). I don't entirely remember when I wore these outfits; just some time in the past week (I'll try to be better at categorizing these things and take pictures daily instead of sporadically). Shirt: Hand-me-down Jeans: Vanity (hand-me-down)   Ring: Samuel's (my wedding ring - always my favorite accessory) Socks: gift from a friend  (it has been SO cold in my house lately; I just hate to turn on the heater already).   Dress: Walmart Tights: Hand-me-down (see a pattern here?)      Dress: guess? Hand-me-down (but my new LBD) Shoes: C...
