rolly baby-ness

Image
We had a play date last week with my SIL, her twins & nephew, Big A's cousin & her baby.  The boys had a great time; only a few tantrums were thrown (by my older).  Good food was had at lunch and it seemed that all ate fairly well.  And I got to just spend time with my cutie pie niece Sophia & nephew Wesley.  Aren't they precious with their rolly baby-ness?!

the Cove

Last Thursday, we met up with some friends (one from MOPS and one from church) at a nearby campground/swim area/play area. It was such a beautiful day to hang out - look at this sky! My pal, Sarah , is SO talented with photography. She brought along her camera and took some shots of us in the water and on the beach. AND she did while holding her youngest son - that is some major talent. And I wanted to share the ones she got of my boys and I (please don't judge me on the hat; it's Moose's and I had nowhere else to put it and I do realize I look like a boy). Oh seriously...have you seen a more perfect day?? Moose had such fun splashing in the water - although he tried to drink it, too. Gross. Me and my friend, Kim, with all the kiddos hanging out. The kids all behaved SO well! Squirt was so tired (but isn't this a great picture of him?).   He'd been up since 7:30 or so and we were out there until about 1:00. Such a trooper!! And he had fun splashing - no...

Writer's Workshop

Choose a prompt, post it on your blog, and go to Mama Kat's and sign Mr. Linky. For good comment karma try to comment on the three blogs above your name!! The Prompts: 1.) Write about a time when you were wrongly wronged. (inspired by myself.) 2.) Geriatric peeping Tom neighbors? Do tell. 3.) Mommy play dates? What's your experience with mom dating? 4.) The first day of... 5.) Share your friendly advice for someone you think needs it (ie your mother-in-law, other drivers, cell phone users, etc.) 3. I've met my fair share of moms since giving birth to my little Moose two years ago. Moms were coming out of the woodwork. (It's like if you buy a Ford Taurus (which we just sold), all of a sudden you see Ford Tauruses everywhere on the road.) However, I have not made bonds with many. I have my best mommy friend, the A-team mommy. And it's not like I have no other friends with kids! Many of my friends have had children, most of them after me (we started early in our marri...

a day with the A-Team

Image
The A-team girls took us to the Ltown Children's Museum for Moose's birthday present. It was so much fun! But very tiring. It was also very hot in there - and I wore nice shoes, no socks, and a real bra. Yuck! I'll share some pictures really quickly with you about our fun day. Moose & Peaches checking out the "vet clinic" at the museum. Moose thought this puppy was real. Future State Trooper Moose Riding the motorcycle - Moose hanging on! going in the tree stump Mom, look, a cow! riding on the space buggy exiting the space shuttle big chair! Moose's favorite part - water got a picture for Daddy - Go Big Red! the S Club & A team (ready to go home) Thanks, girls, for such a nice day! And the kids took a nice nap most of the way home - woo hoo!

is it Tuesday?

Yesterday A & I went to a car dealership in the O to look at a super cheap '07 Caliber. It's so nice; the SXT style or whatever. But unless this other guy buys our Taurus and the car guys take the payments down to what we can pay (without stretching our loan out 90some months) we can't afford it still. But oh it'd be nice. I've never owned a vehicle that nice...and probably never will if we don't get it. But it's in God's hands. No word really on jobs. Hopefully we'll be hearing something soon. I'll keep you updated. We had a play date today with Moose & Miss J. We had a picnic lunch at the park here in town. Then Miss J and Moose swung for about 2 seconds each. There was a little slide thing for little tots, so they played on that. I held Moose as I slid him down & then he climbed the stairs. By that time he was getting tired (and I mean TIRED). So we headed home for nap but when we were leaving, Miss J's feet got ahead of her ...
