You Changed My Life by Max Lucado

I received the gift book "You Changed My Life" by Max Lucado from BookSneeze. The subtitle of the book sums up what the book is about: "Stories of Real People with Remarkable Hearts." How true is it that the heroes that really make up this world are ordinary people?! We don't need superpowers or super-cool gadgets to make a difference in the world. This book has proof of that within its pages.

The thought-provoking and heart-warming stories in this gift book are laid out in a beautifully simple way. The pictures and verses or quotes with each story provide more than aesthetic purposes, revealing the poignant properties of the tale. Lucado shows (as before in Cast of Characters) that it doesn't take a Superman (or Wonder Woman) to change the world (or history). All it takes is an open heart of one who takes compassion on or cares for other humans. The author also points out the beauty in God's creation of the human nature; something often amiss in our every day lives. If you have someone who has changed your life, please consider gifting this book to them.
