Seven Facts About Mrs. S:

1. I LOVE Star Wars! I think I posted about this once, but anyway. My dad used to work the night shift at a factory. When he would come home, I'd get up to greet him. Then I must not have wanted to go back to bed or something so he'd pop in our recorded version of Star Wars (oh the days of VHS). He'd lay down & fall asleep and I'd do just the same. I'm not sure when I first saw an entire episode/movie, but I do know they hold a special place in my heart.

2. I could eat popcorn for every meal and be very happy (and plump). Kettle korn and butter lovers are my favorite. As long as it's not burnt (or salt & pepper kind), I like it. Yummy...in fact, I'm eating some now!

3. I can almost fit back into my wedding dress. However, I'm not sure if it'll happen ever as my chest is bigger than it was 2 years ago BUT I'm still trying. I can zip it up to my bust line. *fingers crossed*

4. I was such a bookworm when I was younger that I took a book wherever my family went, even to the town 15 minutes away. SO....when I started to drive, I didn't know how to get anywhere! I'd never paid attention, my nose was always stuck in a book.

5. When I played softball, for a few seasons (we'll say when I was 16ish), I would paint my nails different colors for every game or tournament. My rule: they couldn't match our colors (red/white).

6. I have about 7 or so real life friends that read my blog. Only about 3 comment (thank you Laura, Ryan, and sometimes Shannon!).

7. A League of Their Own is my favorite movie of all time. Closely followed by: Star Wars (of course), The Mighty Ducks series, Willow (don't hate), Labyrinth, Grease, Dirty Dancing....and various others in no specific order. Oh and does anyone know where I can find a copy of Cry Baby?? (again, don't hate...it's nostalgic)

I like this tag. Thanks for including me. That is such a sweet memory about Star Wars and your Dad. Oh and I am a huge Dirty Dancing fan too.

What fun factoids. I'm a HUGE book worm too and the thought of vacation always makes me happy b/c I think of the time it'll give me to read. My punishment growing up was to be banned from reading. Nice, huh? :)

Things that creep me out? Dirty old men.

OH MY GOSH!!!! I have always wanted to be included in a tag, so this is super exciting, THANKS!!! I have to tell you, on my prayer list is healthy weight loss and self control ans will power, because I told the BIG GUY upstairs that if it was going to happen it had to come from him, because I feel lately like I have no will against eating.... I also love all those movies, ecspecially WILLOW!!! Too funny....

Like my friend Erin shared in her "bragging" post, I don't necessarily want to "brag" about my boys but I am overjoyed at some of their accomplishments recently! So I will share with you! Moose is doing wonderfully at school. We moved him to the afternoon classroom and his teacher said that his behavior problems that they saw in the morning have virtually disappeared. Great! Twice last week (once at school and once at Sunday School) his teachers told me that he shared with someone. What a sigh of relief that one is; sharing is so hard but to know that what I'm implementing at home is working (even the itsy bitsiest bit!) is a relief.  I've noticed that baby toys are most enjoyed by the older crowd. Greater (movie review)

Sports movies are some of my favorite ones; even better if they are underdog stories! "Greater" is just that - a true underdog story about Brandon Bulsworth who could be called the greatest walk-on in the history of college football. The movie follows Bulsworth from the time he's a kid. His mother is raising he and his brother (who is quite a bit older; old enough to be mistaken for his dad, laughably). His brother gives him a kick in the pants when Brandon claims he wants to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Brandon was a heavy kid so no one really thought it would happen. However, Brandon worked as hard as he could and made it. Walked on the team and caught the attention of his coach who put some amazing work into this kid to help him become better. I love when coaches look at the heart of a player more than ability. This really is an amazing story, an amazing movie - full of inspiration and encouragement. We Choose Virtues (review & giveaway!)

I almost think I needed this Kids Kit from We Choose Virtues almost as much as my sons. I mean, check out this list: patience, kindness, obedience, diligence, forgiving, attentive, etc. I have such problems with patience and attentive (anyone else get distracted by stuff online?)! So I know that it's important to teach these virtues to my children, too (and learn alongside them). Jesus was patient, forgiving, obedient, diligent, forgiving, attentive, self-controlled, content, etc. We are supposed to imitate Jesus and so I thought this was a good way to help me teach them how to do that. image from the WCV website Like I said, I reviewed the Kids Kit.
