the only thing we have to fear...

is fear itself. Ok I totally don't believe this. I am scared of some things. These things being:

1. My Moose falling & cracking his head open (literally). I know he's gutsy but it's kind of scary for Mommy here.

2. My husband being hurt seriously (or worse) in some accident.

3. My parents not being around to watch Moose grow up. My mom's a smoker, my dad chews tobacco, and neither exercises regularly or eats healthily.

4. Spiders. Oh no. gross. gross. gross.

5. Rats, mice, other vermin. *shiver*

6. That my dearest friend's wish won't come true.

7. That I'll lose my teeth and have to wear dentures forever.

8. That I will end up on The Biggest Loser with my son someday IF I don't start making smart choices today (which I have been....we jogged for 15 minutes & walked for an hour today. I've been watching my snacking super closely and it's going great. Pray for me keeping this up).

9. Being in a terrible car accident where me and/or my family gets hurt. It scares me because I've been involved in 2, count them TWO, rollovers where I have (and the parties I was with) walked away unscathed.

10. The dark. Don't laugh at me. It's a legitimate fear. Shut up.

Oh gosh - I hear you on the fear thing. Day by day, lady. I heard a good quote that essentialy says - "things are going to go wrong. But I know somebody very very well who will be there tomorrow to deal with it." I actually find comfort in this, and believing our future selves will be able to deal with things in whatever form they are given. Day by day. :) You'll make it. Keep up the good work walking and keeping track - journaling that stuff ALWAYS helps me.

Oh geez, I totally forgot about your #3. My mom's a smoker and my dad's blood pressure is like that of a steam cooker. Neither exercise either.....

As for your #10, I am totally NOT laughing at you. I sleep with the hallway light on and a night light in my room. I AM 29....

How are we ever going to convince our little guys to not be afraid of the dark? (I don't mean this rhetorically, if you have a good answer, let me know! ) :P

I couldn't do the fear prompt because it would stress me out for the rest of the week. Your list was good though.

Oh, and I sleep with a nightlight.

Yes -hurray for the journaling your goals. I know that for me (and according to certain things I've read) taking it the next step and journaling all your activity and literally EVERY THING you eat, is more likely to result in weight loss than if you don't track these items. It is an educational course in what is often forgotten! Keeps one on track and requires honesty with yourself. Starting last May I got very serious about my weight and health and have lost 40 (yikes!) lbs when I didn't even have the sense that I had that much to lose! Yes, I was out of touch but can definitely attest to the journing of every detail. And gold stars. Give yourself LOTS of gold stars. ;)

No, you shut up... those are legitimate things to be afraid of.... I HATE spidres and most bugs...I don;t like the dark, but remember the cardinal rule, the boogie man can't get you if you are all under the covers except your head, because even the Boggie man knows you have to be able to breath...

Ooo, I have some of the same fears. Although for some reason, I'm totally ok with bugs and vermin. As long as they're in their proper place (read: not my house and not too close to me unless they're pets or extra cute). I'm almost afraid to ask about the dentures one. That's definitely the first time I've seen that one!

I am so very much with you on the fear of spiders! I use to pass out when I saw one...but now I have to "protect" my babies...

And in regards to my "alot younger" comment...all I can say is that I look alot younger than I am. I use to feel alot younger too...but Miss Bry still isn't sleeping all night and I am almost a complete zombie!

I think seeing a rat near my home could make my heart stop.

I always have these big fantasies about living out in the country, but I am scared of bugs, vermin and the dark. Doesn't make sense, does it?

You have an interesting few additions to your list than what I've read today.

2 roll overs & coming away unscathed would give me that same fear.

I enjoyed reading your list.
