Thirteen Thursday

13 Reasons I LOVE the Fall:

1. Cooler weather
2. Less sunscreen! Moose is already thanking me for that....less greasy hair for him.
3. Jeans and sweatshirts!! Woo hoo. No more shaving my legs ....totally kidding...
4. Leaves changing colors.5. Jumping in piles of leaves. I cannot WAIT to teach Moose how to do this.
6. Football season! Go Huskers!7. Back to school. Between the hours of 8-3, our apartment is quiet with the neighbor kids at school. hahaha
8. Great nap time weather. Add a comfy quilt and I'm set!
9. Hot chocolate and apple cider! Which is your fav??
10. Halloween. I can't wait for this year and I know it's going to sneak up on me before I realize.
11. I think the stars shine brighter in more frigid weather. Makes me feel like God is warming me up under his big blanket of stars.
12. New tv shows! I missed the premier of 90210 (which is probably the only one I'll watch; it'll be too smutty for me.) but I am looking forward to Privileged and the final season of ER (tear).
13. Autumn means winter is almost here. For all of the slushie roads and too cold nights, there's so much I love about winter, too. I can't wait to sled with Moose and sing Christmas carols!

Fall is my favorite. I love crisp air and fall leaves and hot chocolate and sweaters and cute coats and the smell of wood smoke and halloween and baking and new shows and. . .I could go on a while. I might have to do a post about it now. Thanks for stopping by yesterday.

What a great TT! One of my favorite things about fall is the way it smells. It's definitely my favorite season.

Big A is forever telling me to not say certain things on the road. Don't call me dear. Don't gasp or shout; I'll think there's a deer. Although these are paraphrased (and he claims he's never said the first one), these are the basis for this tale. We went to the Husker game last night. Scratch that - we worked at the Husker game last night. We helped his aunt (and her church) sell backrests as a fundraiser. Big A has done this most of last year & all of this year so far. He loves it. You sell backrests until kickoff, then you watch the game, and pick up the rests after. You're there 90 minutes before game time and for about an hour or so after the game. And you sometimes get leftover food (Runzas and hotdogs and popcorn - please fine out what a Runza is for those of you who aren't from Nebraska....it's so yummy!). MOB Society: Bragging on Boys

Like my friend Erin shared in her "bragging" post, I don't necessarily want to "brag" about my boys but I am overjoyed at some of their accomplishments recently! So I will share with you! Moose is doing wonderfully at school. We moved him to the afternoon classroom and his teacher said that his behavior problems that they saw in the morning have virtually disappeared. Great! Twice last week (once at school and once at Sunday School) his teachers told me that he shared with someone. What a sigh of relief that one is; sharing is so hard but to know that what I'm implementing at home is working (even the itsy bitsiest bit!) is a relief.  I've noticed that baby toys are most enjoyed by the older crowd. Moose is also reading! I got the sight word list that kindergarteners start off with from his teacher - he read them all for me this morning. I bought a Chuggington book for him on their last book order - he read it by himself after only having it read...
