The Cross Makers (review and GIVEAWAY)

My mom actually tipped me off to the Cross Makers and their terrific work of spreading God's message of love. I cannot find words to tell you about them better than their own words so this is from their Etsy site:

The Cross Makers of Seward, Nebraska are a group of men and women who give of their time to create these hand crafted wood palm crosses to extend God's richest blessings to you.

Each cross is handmade to fit the hand. No two are alike. Each cross measures approximately 3.5" by 4.5" by .75" high (exact sizes in cm are listed for each individual cross).

The Cross of Life brings comfort as it is held in the hand helping one to acknowledge the blessings and love of Christ. These crosses have brought comfort to those in the hospital, nursing homes, and in the military. They make a heartfelt gift to those suffering from cancer, heart disease or other affliction. Pregnant mothers hold them during childbirth and later give them to their children. Those who are depressed, anxious or worried find comfort in their contemplative nature.

The Cross Makers are all volunteers who meet several times a week to work on this mission. None of them are paid and all have invested. Any monies made from the sale of these crosses through this etsy site go strictly for the cost of materials and equipment. All funds that exceed the cost of equipment and materials will be donated to charitable organizations.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

I tried to find the news broadcast that my mom saw about this group, but was unable to find them. However, I think that their Etsy site says it all. What a great momento to have to just daily remind you of Christ and his blessings upon you. The cross that we received is sitting on Big A's desk at work; just a reminder to him that he's working for God, not man.

I think another good investment for one of these crosses is one hangs from your rearview mirror. I don't hang a lot of things on my own mirror other than air fresheners, but that would be a great place to just remind me to show Christ's love, even in my car!

I am amazed at anyone who works with their hands, that's why I'm such a big fan of Etsy in the first place. Woodworking takes that awe to another level! Other than 8th grade shop class, I have zero woodworking experience - it's just so beautiful. My dad has made some beautiful things and I have a friend who was a carpenter apprentice for awhile, but it's mostly a lost art form. Truly - and there is no better art than that that speaks directly to the Ultimate Carpenter. And these are unique crosses, made to fit into your hand.

Here is the best news! The Cross Makers have lowered their prices to help make their crosses more affordable - they are from $10-$13. Orders of 25 or more are just $5 a piece. They also have an Easter special of 5 crosses for $40! What terrific Easter gifts these would make. Other ideas for these crosses is gifts on a mission trip, to someone in the military, to a pastor - to anyone who needs God's love!

The Cross Makers generously gave me THREE crosses to give away to YOU! Yay!

Those are beautiful! I think I would take it to work and have it near my computer. Or keep it in my car so I had that constant reminder there. Oh I can think of so many places I could keep it.

We dont have any Easter plans. Easter plans for us normally involved food of some sort. It was sort of an eating time where we ate better food than normal.

I will most likely place it on my computer stand here, or my bookshelf stand in my bedroom.. depending on the size (if its too small, it'll get eaten on my desk!)

Easter plans include attending our annual Easter morning breakfast at church, then egg hunting for the kiddos and service after that. We can't wait, this year will be even better than the last! :)
