worry not
Big A found a job - he signed the papers on Tuesday. Phew! What a weight lifted off of his shoulders. We are so thankful that our wait wasn't long; there are so many who don't have jobs months after losing them. This is definitely a sign that prayers are answered in big ways. I know much longer without a paycheck and our financial situation would have been really bad. God's timing is truly perfect.
He's going to work at a company that makes conveyors for grain elevators (this is my understanding). He will be dealing with putting together electrical or fuse boxes for the conveyors - I don't really know specifics about it, but I don't think he does either (yet). Basically it will be a whole new experience for him; something he is excited and anxious about at the same time. He does realize there will be some adjusting to the new job (as there is with any job).
One thing I think will be an adjustment is the work attire. Normally he wears worn-out work jeans or pants with a holey t-shirt. At his new job, he'll be wearing more along the lines of khakis and polos. That will be different to see him "dress up" every day. I am excited that he'll be working in a heated/ACed building; what a change THAT will be after so many jobs working outdoors or in un-air conditioned circumstances.
His job is near where we go to church so we'll be going to that town 6 days a week. Eventually we'll probably move there. Big A is going to look into houses and rentals just to see what there is. It would be nice to live closer to church so we can be more involved, too. I am definitely looking forward to that.
Anyway, I wanted to share that with you all - and thank you for your prayers! Very appreciated and very answered.
