Monday Meanderings

Bible Study - finish "Plan B" by Pete Wilson & I am going to look up something to better help me understand the second to last chapter in 1 Corinthians. I've read it twice and I can't seem to grasp it all.

Memory Verse - (Sarah you always pick good verses) Ephesians 5:15-17
"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."

Husband Encouragement - Big A is picking up some extra work with a local farmer so making sure the house is clean and meals are prepared. Also not being grumpy when he gets home, but letting him have some "breaths" when he walks in the door before I throw the baby and/or toddler at him.

Train Them Up - Moose: I need to start looking at an on-line curriculum for preschool for next year since we are not sending him to school. I don't really want to purchase anything since it's just the first year and I don't know what I'm doing at all.
Squirt: started to clap at graduation this past weekend (how sweet), so I'd like to keep encouraging him to wave and do "so big" and walk. He's getting close. I know I also need to read to him more and be patient when he's stubborn at naps.

Personal Goals - Stick with my training goals - run x4 and yoga x2 (or another DVD). It's going to be really hard with Big A working extra hours, but I need to try.

Must Do - Grocery shop & library drop-off on Tuesday. In-town library trip with Moose tonight. Find a cheap pair of jeans to fit me (I have one pair too big and one pair too small).

Zone - Nothing really, just keep it all tidy and neat.

Menu Plan -
Monday - spaghetti
Tuesday - chicken parmesan
Wednesday - tacos or quesadillas
Thursday - vegetable soup & grilled cheese
Friday - chicken nuggets & baked potatoes
Saturday - something in the crock pot
Sunday - TBD

Fun Stuff - MOPs on Tuesday. Usborne book party on Saturday (if anyone shows up). Church on Sunday.

3 Things I'm Thankful For -
1. My marriage. My husband treats me the way that every woman deserves to be treated.
2. My children. They may not be perfect but they listen (mostly) and are incredibly sweet.
3. Warm weather - wait a second...it's cold! But I'm thankful for heat to keep us warm.

Did you just delete a post about rainy days?... It's not rainy here, but hardly warm either. I know London's supposed to be damp and cold but it's not actually that bad most of the time. I think it was worse a couple of hundred years ago when this town got that reputation. Apparently 400 years ago the Thames actually used to freeze over every winter and people would SKATE across it... something that's unheard of now!

Anyway I was going to say re the neighbours etc that it could be worse, you could actually be living in Stepford, know what I mean!!

PS have a go on my Saturday quiz if you've a moment... I don't think anyone's got it all right yet

I think I'm gonna have to make spaghetti tonight too! You know, I'd be well off to write a list of goals down for the week too!
