help me!

Moose is ALWAYS on our computer. And he's done it this time. Everything looks like an x-ray. Does anyone with a Mac know how to fix this? Please?

Also if you know how to get the icons on the bottom of the desktop screen to not pop up but just be there?

And if you have any ideas on how to keep my 2-year-old OFF of my computer, I'd really appreciate that one.

EDIT: Called Geek Squad. Moose pushed 4 buttons at once to achieve the negative look. Control, alt/option, command, and 8. Amazing. How did he push 4 at once?

I would put a password on it so that even if he starts messing with it he can't get in and mess anything up! Good luck getting it fixed!

Oh, don't doubt the power of the kids :) Or the cats for that matter. We had a cat who not once, but TWICE, recorded himself meowing on our computer. Just by pressing the right button when it was on the right screen.

Glad you got it figured out though! We are new to Macs and I don't know what I'd do if mine turned to the negative look. Fortunately there's an Apple store ten minutes away.

OH! I laughed when I saw your header picture. My hubby just bought a little shirt for our youngest that says Start 'em Young, Raise 'em Right for GA Tech!

Glad you got it fixed! I password sounds like a good idea like Studying to be a Mommy said.

My kids are 13 & 9 and I still have to be careful with them unsupervised on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

Oh my goodness! Well, maybe he's just destined to be a computer geek :) Glad you got it fixed!
That is crazy that pushing those certain buttons at the same time would give it a negative look?! Hey... at least you learned how to do it if you *ever* would want to do it! :)

Impressive! My three year old actually has his own computer. It's an old one that doesn't do much, but it keeps him off ours!

p.s. I am assuming you talked to the Geeks about your other questions, but if not:

One way to make the dock at the bottom stay instead of pop up is to push alt/option, command and d at the same time. There are other ways to do it, but that's the easiest. Then you can push that combo again to make it disappear again.

We are Mac users here too!
