My Babywearing Experience...sort of

I know this isn't EXACTLY baby-wearing, but I really wanted to join in the fun (and, in my defense, I didn't exactly know the benefits of slings and such...wish I had, but this "front pack" was useful, too).
These pictures are of my husband "wearing" Moose when he was a month old during our vacation to Colorado. It was so endearing to see him holding Moose. The size difference was just precious to me. Enjoy.

I know nothing about baby wearing. Which it's been a long time since I had any wee babes at m,y house. But I had to just tell you that is an adorable Moose.
Oh, that is definitely babywearing! I love it! : )

Cute pictures!!
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your question....
As for carriers to use with your son, there are a lot of options. You could still use a ring sling for a hip carry or a back carry. But if you want something for longer wearing, I would try a MeiTai or Soft Structured Carrier like the Ergo or Beco. Both go over both shoulders and you can do front and back carries pretty easy. That would probably be the best option for you at this point if you can only get one. I use my ring sling still with my 2.5yr old (35lbs) but if I need to wear him longer, I use my MeiTai. I can send you some website links if you are interested. I'll be posting pics later this week or best toddler carriers so stop back to see some pics.
I hope that is helpful. This age (9-20months) is actually one of the greatest baby wearing ages. They still want to be close and it is so fun to cuddle them.
Many Blessings!

That IS babywearing, and great pics!
I always loved it that my husband was willing, even eager, to wear our baby, too.
It's a great experience for the dads, too!

Oh! Such a cute Moose!

I didn't do babywearing. Having a little one in the 90th - 95th percentile (still) made it a little tough! LOL

That looks like babywearing to me! We had a Bjorn, too, but it didn't work very well for me. I had to branch out. :)

Great pictures ;) Your hubby is TOTALLY babywearing :) You don't have to have a fancy carrier to be a babywearer, though it does make it easier.

I noticed over at Steph's blog that you said you would love to have a carrier if you are blesses with another baby. I have a giveaway going on right now on my blog for a Hotsling in size 3. Not sure what size you would need, but it's a place to start! Come on over and check it out :) Here's the direct link:

Great pictures. To me that is babywearing. Some might disagree but I say a snuggli, a bjorn, or ringsling or whatever it is all bwing. And so dear to see a hubby using the carrier. :)

What a cutie!

You guys really get around with your baby carrier!
My family is from Colorado and I have lots of fond childhood memories from Buckskin Joe's! I'm planning to take my 2 girls there on our next trip home.
