Dear Twilight movie

Thanks so much for the snippets into this fiction world Stephenie Meyers has created for all of us. The trailers have left much anticipation thrust upon the Twilighters, from tweens and teens to moms and even those fans who won't admit to being fans.
However, your timing sucks. Not only do I have a one-year-old who cries whenever I leave him, but my pocketbook is virtually empty. Now, I could deal with leaving Moose with someone capable of handling his separation anxious tears. But I cannot fathom going into the red to purchase tickets to see your sparkling, dazzling self.
So, in lieu of this travesty, I am preparing myself to endure a weekend of energized bloggers (and Facebook friends) who have been awed by your viewing pleasure. And, who am I kidding, this is going to go on for weeks. All I ask is that you kindly remind viewers to not spoil it for me (haha, just kidding, I've read the books) by telling me what's different between the book and movie.

I anxiously await your DVD debut,

I'll watch everyone leave the movie theaters from my window, too.

Guess your baby can't eat popcorn yet :-P.

I remember those days of young ones. We never went anywhere because even if we had the money for the movie, we didn't have enough to cover the sitter too. Great letter post. You're right above me on SITS roll call.

I am going tonight- I have read all the books (and the small portion of Midnight Sun) and am excited!

Don't feel to bad, I'm so broke that I haven't even bought the book yet. Pathetic, I know.

amen.

my 9 month old definitely couldn't sit through the movie, and with christmas coming i can't justify the ticket price.

I hear you loud and clear. If you lived in NYC you'd already have a $8 pirated copy of it. Oh well, Netflix indeed.

Over here form SITS :)

Don't feel too bad. I am right there with you. I am sick, poor and I have a 6 month old I lovingly call Tank.

What a bummer! I can relate on those outrageous ticket prices. Luckily my babe is still young enough that she will sleep through movies. If it makes you feel any better I have heard that it isn't as good as people thought it would be, obviously ha ha :)

Thanks for the post SITSta!

My pocketbook can't handle movie theater tickets either. Fortunately, my generous son has a movie gift card from last year that he hasn't used. He gave it to me just so I could see the movie. He really is a good kid!
I can't see it this weekend either and I've already seen about a million posts about how great it is. At least no spoilers yet! :)

P.s. My husband bought himself golf clubs for Christmas, so I guess I'm off the hook.
Visiting from SITS. I had to plan 2 weeks in advance a vacation day from work and save all the pennies to get to go this Wednesday. I really hope the DVD comes swiftly for you!

Remember good things come to those who wait.
Be patient dear heart.
You will be sitting in that theatre before you know it.

I adore the book so I'm afraid the movie will disappointment me.

You didn't miss much girl.
It was awesome BUT I can say that on DVD you will be able to watch it as many times as you want in a row, and then there will be special features too. You will be oh so dazzled. So it's okay:) For years and years I didn't go to the theatre for the same reasons, and this is one of the first movies I've went to just for me plus it wasn't a cartoon!
