Well, faithful readers, the time has come for me to not blog. Ok. No worries, it's just for the weekend.
Tomorrow we fly out through Chicago to Richmond. Our interview with Dream Job is on Friday 9am (eastern) so your prayers at that appointed time would be appreciated.
I'm EXCITED about the meetings and interview, I'm nervous about how Moose will do on the plane (despite food & toys to play with), and I'm VERY EXCITED to see my very best friend!

Wish us luck, send a prayer, and I'll see you on Sunday (hopefully with good news).

**Edit: Just so everyone knows (including the person who commented as Anonymous) we are NOT taking the job JUST because our friends are there. That would be terrible in this line of work. We were unaware of this opportunity before they got hired, but the more we talked & prayed about the job, the more it seemed to fit us and us to fit it. We will be working with teenagers, something I've always had my heart on and something my husband's heart has grown to want. God is leading us down this path so we can make the difference in the lives of others, not so we can be with our friends. **

hey, i don't know if you'll get this before you go or not...or if you'll check it with the spider legs...but if Moose has trouble with his ears or being sick i hear that a snickers and a coke work wonders. obviously you'll have to modify for baby, and i know you don't like candy and stuff for him...but just in case.

Girl, you are gonna be great.

Moose will be fine on the plane. We travelled a lot with the boy that age. As you know, they feed off your stress, so stay calm, have tylenol with you if needed!

Don't you worry about what anyone else says, or their comments about why you may or may not be taking this job... if you both believe that this is God's will, then you have to follow it.. that is the only way he can bless your family, so I am praying for you, have a great trip and hope ot hear all the great news soon!

Like my friend Erin shared in her "bragging" post, I don't necessarily want to "brag" about my boys but I am overjoyed at some of their accomplishments recently! So I will share with you! Moose is doing wonderfully at school. We moved him to the afternoon classroom and his teacher said that his behavior problems that they saw in the morning have virtually disappeared. Great! Twice last week (once at school and once at Sunday School) his teachers told me that he shared with someone. What a sigh of relief that one is; sharing is so hard but to know that what I'm implementing at home is working (even the itsy bitsiest bit!) is a relief.  I've noticed that baby toys are most enjoyed by the older crowd. Moose is also reading! I got the sight word list that kindergarteners start off with from his teacher - he read them all for me this morning. I bought a Chuggington book for him on their last book order - he read it by himself after only having it read

Greater (movie review)

Sports movies are some of my favorite ones; even better if they are underdog stories! "Greater" is just that - a true underdog story about Brandon Bulsworth who could be called the greatest walk-on in the history of college football. The movie follows Bulsworth from the time he's a kid. His mother is raising he and his brother (who is quite a bit older; old enough to be mistaken for his dad, laughably). His brother gives him a kick in the pants when Brandon claims he wants to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Brandon was a heavy kid so no one really thought it would happen. However, Brandon worked as hard as he could and made it. Walked on the team and caught the attention of his coach who put some amazing work into this kid to help him become better. I love when coaches look at the heart of a player more than ability. This really is an amazing story, an amazing movie - full of inspiration and encouragement. Big A is forever telling me to not say certain things on the road. Don't call me dear. Don't gasp or shout; I'll think there's a deer. Although these are paraphrased (and he claims he's never said the first one), these are the basis for this tale. We went to the Husker game last night. Scratch that - we worked at the Husker game last night. We helped his aunt (and her church) sell backrests as a fundraiser. Big A has done this most of last year & all of this year so far. He loves it. You sell backrests until kickoff, then you watch the game, and pick up the rests after. You're there 90 minutes before game time and for about an hour or so after the game. And you sometimes get leftover food (Runzas and hotdogs and popcorn - please fine out what a Runza is for those of you who aren't from Nebraska....it's so yummy!).
