don't be disappointed

because I'm not really. I didn't play softball today.
Moose has had a fever the last 3 days. Thursday: low grade, nothing too pertinent. Friday: 103, more concerning (alas, still nothing we could do really. Tylenol/Motrin regimen and a cool bath). Today: 102, better but he was VERY clingy (instead of mostly clingy...ha). No he didn't want to play, just lay on your lap. Especially after his nap, he was just out.of.it.
So, we did what we always do "what's best for Moose." I really like to put that first in my mind (after WWJD) because it takes the guessing out of things. Late night? What's best for Moose? To sleep in his own bed (except occasionally). Staying at my mom's house (that she smokes in & has for the past 17 years)? Not the best (but unfortunately, we do have to now because we cannot afford a hotel). Being outside all day when he's sick? Not so much.
It was really a relaxing day, though. Last night, Big A & I baked (he baked, I decorated) cookies & a birthday cake for my friend, Miss M. Her birthday was yesterday & her and her boyfriend came for supper after the softball game (which ended in a tie and the alumni were drunk - except Miss M) so I wanted to bake her a special cake (sorry, no picture but it was cute).
VERY yummy goodies. Not so yummy for this diet. Luckily for me, it takes awhile for me to gain weight. I can usually maintain my weight well. It's the losing that it's hurting because Lord knows that's really hard for me. I wish diet pills worked without having to take them the rest of your life. I'd do it!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know before I hit the sack that I did not exercise today except for toting around my boy. Hey, that's 31+ pounds of little man right there! That's work!

1) sorry to hear the little guy is sick.
2) Big A baked??? so sweet!!!
3) sounds like fun with Miss A & her BF for supper...
4) and good for you for lugging around the cute little 31 lb bundle. I'd say that's "toning" which you're supposed to alternate with "cardio" anyway, right???

hehehe!

You know, you could probably carry those trays from the dishroom with ease now, with your Moose weight training!

Seriously, I HATE low-grade fevers! There is nothing you can do, but your baby is miserable! It stinks. Hope he feels better.
