I found the books!

At daycare, they are locked in a cabinet so the kids don't rip them to shreds (sounds like that's been the previous problem). So the last 2 days, I've been tearing up those pages reading to the kids.
Let me just say that I love to read. I don't care what I'm reading, but I love to read. Especially Dr. Seuss. The made up words and phrases. I can't get enough. The words just roll off your tongue in such a wonderful way. It makes reading so much fun.
But I also love when kids can repeat words after me or point things out in a book. Mr. B has trouble talking, like I said before, but today he picked out an Insect book and he counted with me and repeated things like "lady bug" "fly" whatever was on the page. He's smart, I just think with so many other kids at home, he's been pushed to the side. And I don't think it's purposely but it's still sad.
I have been reading to Moose since he was still in my womb. I like to read out loud. My dream job is to be an audio book voice person. I don't know how you do that but I'd love it. I love to get into books and do voices even. Anything that makes reading fun for others.
Moose is at that age where he won't sit for a story usually but he'll listen as he walks around the room. I love to watch him listen; if that makes sense. I hope he grows up loving to read. It's like nothing else. It builds your imagination and that can take you anywhere you want. You can dream up anything and become anyone. Reading is the best.

I'm so with you on loving to read. I get tired of reading outloud though, I admit. You rock for doing that so much with the kids in daycare and Moose.

Both my boys love to read, and I hope that I passed that love to them.

I'm still job searching. Barnes and Noble is hiring in this area and having a job fair this weekend. I'm there, baby! They give benefits to part time workers, which may work perfect for me!!

Spoken like a true lover of literature!

I love to read. Outloud, to myself, whatever.

The Boy, not a huge fan. Hoping it changes as he gets older, he love to listen to me read, but he is not a fan of reading himself. Maybe one day!!!

Come see my blog...

Hi there! Reading IS the best. You are so right. I agree. My girls love being read to , even if I am reading a "big persons" book, they want me to "say the words"

I love to read too...I always read to my daughter, and even at 10, Dr Seuss is still one of her favorites. We babysat for a friend last weekend, a 2 yr old and 7 yr old. They decided to play "house" and my daughter was the mom, and she read them Green Eggs and Ham. It was so cute!! Even the 2 yr old was sitting so nicely, listening ever so carefully to the words!!
It's been awhile since I stopped in...so hello again!

As a librarian, I totally agree with you. Reading is the best. I can almost recite "Sam I Am" for you right now!
