question time

Apparently if you are reading this, I am going to assume you like to write (if not love it), so....If you could write a book, what would it be about? Don't worry about posting on my comments, I want to know all about it. Would it be a children's, adolescent, adult, or mature novel (please no details on the mature ones...ha)? A picture, photography, poem, short story, novel, devotional? For women only or gender neutral?

*Edit to add: There has been a question about what I would like to write. I would love to write a novel but I don't exactly know how to make the storyline complex enough to be interesting (like Wuthering Heights or Spring Came on Forever). I write some poetry, I just think it's all a bit elementary. I've written some short stories for classes (my favorite one being one I wrote in 5th grade, no joke). And I really would love to do these 2 things: write a Christian book for adolescent/mid-twenties women dealing with actual issues women face as Christians (like sex, something it seems taboo to talk about in Christian circles) and write a children's book (more specifically, a children's book series). I have ideas, but have no idea where to start (like, do I need an illustrator for the children's book or would they provide one?) or how to even get a publisher to LOOK at my stuff.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I write constantly and over the years have tried poetry, short stories, children's fiction and novels. I think I will stick with novels--Historical Romance is my current choice. And my blog, of course.
OOooooo. GREAT QUESTION! I actually am attempting to write my first "novel". We shall see how it goes.

I posted a two pieces of it on my blog Taste Buds for a Friday Fiction meme I participate in:

Those are the links if you are interested. What about you? Do you dream about writing something specific?

Randi, i think that if i could write a book i would want to write many. I want to write the memoirs of an infertile woman....a novel that tells a lot of information too. And I want to partner with a man (maybe my husband if he felt up to it) and write a book for MEN concerning how to deal with infertility in a Christian marriage. Because men have nowhere to turn....anyway I'd also really enjoy not writing but illustrating childrens books.... And I love to write poetry. maybe someday I will post some on here!! good question!

Great question. I would LOVE to write a book. Probably a book to help Teenagers be more self confident, a religous theme, and of course, funny. My hubster has illustrated a few books, and my sister is writing her first childrens book, so I feel a bit inferior next to those two!!!

Thanks for the comment on my blog too!
