applied labels (review & giveaway)

I have this idealistic image in my head of my house (specifically my kitchen) properly labeled and organized. However, I hate to admit, I am not very organized. I make too many lists and have too many calendars - which makes things way more complicated than they need be. However, I still try. I've tried to label things in Moose's room with pictures so he knows where toys and clothes go.

Growing up, I remember other kids having cool labels on their pencil cases and sometimes in their PE shoes. My name was scrawled with magic marker (sometimes). So when I had the chance to test out Applied Labels for my boys, I was a happy mama!

I went a little label happy when I got them: coats, hats, jackets, shoes, sippy cups, card table chairs, and even their Lightening McQueen cars. I couldn't think of more things to label or I would have. I got Moose's labels with a train and Squirt's with a puppy - both very high interests of theirs.

The best item I labeled was the cups. It's nice to know that even though Squirt may not know his cups are orange, he'll learn his cups have a puppy (although he'll still drink out of any cup available). It's helped Moose know whose cup is whose, too; he recognizes the colors and the icons.

Also my nephew has the same shoes as Squirt so it was helpful at Thanksgiving when my niece brought her daddy a shoe, to know that it was Squirt's.

At Sunday School, there is a babe with the same name as Squirt. His grandpa accidentally picked up our bag (or was handed our bag, not sure) and I recognized the Applied Label on it so that I could say something before we lost our little bag for a week. Although the boys probably could fit into one another's diapers, it was nice to be able to say for sure, that's my bag even though I carry a popular Walmart diaper bag.

The only labels I didn't get to try out were the date labels. These are useful for baby bottles but we're past that stage so I'm still thinking about what I could do with them. I have thought about putting it on tupperware containers with leftovers so I know when they're from and when to eat them.
All of the labels seem durable; the ones on my diaper bag (which didn't have a tag so I used the strap) has been banged up but it's holding tight on there. With Moose probably starting preschool soon I appreciate that I already have labels for his things - and good labels I don't have to worry about falling off.

You can purchase your own Applied Labels online! Prices vary but be sure to look into the packages to optimize your money.

I like the idea for the clothes labels...especially when my kiddos are at their grandma and grandpa's house a lot of time they are mix matching outfits and my 5 year old looks like she is waiting for a flood because she is wearing her 3 year old sisters pants. I hate the idea of using permanent marker on clothes, so this would be ideal!

I like the Applied labels for clothing. My kids go to private school so this would be perfect for their sweaters! We can easily tell them apart!
